We found that false negatives occurred when participants made destabilizing joystick deflections that rapidly moved the MARS away from the balance point. When we prioritized reducing false negatives we found it resulted in more false positives. We used stacked gated recurrent units (GRU) to predict crash events 800 ms in advance with an AUC (area under the curve) value of 99%. Our goal was to see whether we could use deep learning to predict the occurrence of crashes before they happened. There was a high rate of crashing into boundaries that were set at ± 60 ° from the balance point. We found 90% of participants in our spaceflight analog condition reported spatial disorientation and all of them showed it in their data. We created a spaceflight analog condition by having participants dynamically balance in the horizontal roll plane, where they did not tilt relative to the gravitational vertical and therefore could not use gravitational cues to determine their position. Participants used a joystick to stabilize around the balance point. In our earlier studies, we secured blindfolded participants into a Multi-Axis Rotation System (MARS) device that was programmed to behave like an inverted pendulum. They could become susceptible to spatial disorientation, potentially causing mission ending crashes. Were astronauts forced to land on the surface of Mars using manual control of their vehicle, they would not have familiar gravitational cues because Mars’ gravity is only 0.38 g. 4Psychology Department, Brandeis University, Waltham, MA, United States.3Volen Center for Complex Systems, Brandeis University, Waltham, MA, United States.2Ashton Graybiel Spatial Orientation Laboratory, Brandeis University, Waltham, MA, United States.1Computer Science Department, Brandeis University, Waltham, MA, United States.Lackner 2,3,4 Paul DiZio 2,3,4 Pengyu Hong 1,3 I hope this helped, I am sorry the reply is so late.Yonglin Wang 1† Jie Tang 1† Vivekanand Pandey Vimal 2,3*† James R. If this happens to you, downloading an older version of the software worked for me, and I just refused any software updates for now. My only thing is that the newest and latest version of Capture would just freeze or not load at all after downloading. This fixed my problem completely, I have streamed 4 times since doing this, no hang ups, no disconnects. In your OBS, when you add a video input device, rather than select the webcam itself you need to select Logi Capture instead. Here goes!īefore opening your OBS, open Logitech capture and set all your lighting, resolution, frequency EVERYTHING in Capture Suprisingly, its still the second or third link on google. However I was extremely frustrated as I was having this issue every time I broadcasted and tried EVERYTHING! and here is the solution that fixed my problem, for any of you who may come across this thread with the same problem. This may be too late, as the last known responses are from 2018. Has anyone else encountered this issue or have a working solution other my rather primitive one at the moment? This is however very irritating for recording purposes as it can potentially botch up an hour long recording. I can easily solve this by replugging the camera and activating/disable the camera in the scene. Now the only issue left is that the camera will start hanging/dying in mid-recording even thought it can work perfectly fine for a while. And simply unplugging and replugging the Webcam in Lastly I got everything to work but simply checking "Device Manager" and seeing whether the Imaging Device was correctly located. Another fix was to edit a BooleanValue in the Registry after following links towards the Win10 update screwing cameras in the processģ. I found that you had to install the Webcam using the Default Windows USB drivers in order to avoid the Logitech Drivers to interfere with your Windows OS (Resulting in the OS not even being able to find your camera), THEN you can install the DRIVERS ONLY not the SOFTWARE as it also causes interference with OBSĢ. Right off the bat, I had issues as soon as I took the camera out of the box.Īfter some basic troubleshooting, note that: every case seemed unique,ġ. I have searched the internet and some of the OBS forums and found out that the Logitech C920 has some weird interaction with Win10 and OBS.
